Towards a greener gedling

Kids Against Plastic are proud to be working with Carlton Rotary ClubGedling Borough Council, and local businesses and community groups, to make the Borough of Gedling Climate Clever.

The Climate Clever initiative will help schools, residents and businesses in Gedling take action towards reducing their climate impact through a supportive step-by-step approach that values intent, commitment and action.

Every Gedling Primary school, 50 households and 50 businesses will receive a free copy of Kids Against Plastic co-founders, Amy and Ella’s book, Be Climate Cleveras well as the following amazing eco offerings:

SCHOOLS

£10,000

EVERY primary school in Gedling will be eligible to apply for a £200 eco grant to help develop the biodiversity of their school grounds).

BUSINESSES

Reusables

Businesses in Gedling will get an exclusive 20% discount on reusables purchased from local Nottingham company, FSG Returnables.

HOUSEHOLDS

ECo Packs

50 households in Gedling will be eligible for an eco pack from Carlton Rotary Club to help make their homes greener (and save money in the process).

Take the Gedling Council Climate Challenge

Gedling Borough Council are excited to announce the launch of the Climate Change Challenge. It’s a learning tool designed to provide a general understanding of climate change and sustainability. It informs how the Council is responding to climate change and it may empower residents’ to take positive action.
